Two Job Fairs Set for March 23 and April 13 inside Lewes Terminal

LEWES, Del. – Today, Cape May – Lewes Ferry officials announced that two job fairs will be held inside the Lewes Ferry Terminal on Saturday, March 23 and Saturday, April 13, 2019. The purpose of these job fairs, which will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., is to attract qualified applicants for casual positions in various departments, including Customer Service, Food & Retail, and Maintenance. During the busy summer season, the Ferry hires more than 450 casual employees.

“Summer is fast approaching and we’re excited to once again host a series of job fairs at our terminal facilities,” said Heath Gehrke, Director of Ferry Operations. “The Ferry is closely tied to the local communities on both sides of the Bay and we like to hire locally. This event is a great opportunity for prospective candidates to speak with our hiring managers and apply onsite. Whether on land or aboard a vessel, you can’t beat a summer job at the Cape May – Lewes Ferry.”

Nearly 200 casual positions currently available at the Lewes Ferry Terminal, including food and retail associates, line and prep cooks, servers, customer service representatives, bartenders, porters, servers, warehouse workers and maintenance technicians. Some supervisory casual positions are also available.

The job fair will be held inside the Lewes ferry terminal, located at 43 Henlopen Drive in Lewes, Delaware. A welcome table with job postings will be set up and qualified candidates will meet with hiring managers to be interviewed on the spot. Candidates will be able to complete applications on-line at the terminal and are subject to a background check and drug testing.
