Thank you to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for recognizing the DRBA as one of 20 WasteWise National Partners of the Year. The award winners prevented and diverted close to 408,000 tons of waste that would otherwise be disposed of in landfills or incinerators.

Ada Ortiz, Region 3 Administrator, presented the award to Silvana Dominioni, Director of Environmental Health and Safety and Tom Cook, Executive Director. Shawn Gavin, DNREC Secretary was also on hand and shared some thoughts on the states commitment to helping to solve some of the environmental issues the region faces.

Over the past few years, DRBA has placed a spotlight on resource conservation and an extreme focus on recycling. We are proud that the efforts have helped to counter climate and other environmental changes.
